Johnson & Johnson is looking for an Advanced Analytics Specialist to join their team based in Madrid.

The Advance Analytics Specialist (AAS) is responsible for providing advanced analytics solutions to influence decision making within the organization, patient analytics and predictive analytics leveraging machine learning and other advanced techniques.

He/She will also be responsible for introducing innovative techniques and methodologies that will uncover growth opportunities, outmanoeuvring the competition.

The AAS as part of the Analytics Team will work closely with Business Insight Managers, Multichannel Team, and Platforms Team to ensure alignment, harmonization and best practices, integrating advance analytical solutions to business challenges.

Key Responsibilities

  • Active involvement with key stakeholders such as BIMs, Platforms Team, HCBI, IT, around data management and alignment on local especificities.
  • Close collaboration with the Analytics Team.
  • Interprets market model requirements with data received from regions.
  • Interprets analyses and articulates outputs for Potential business cases.
  • Coordinates with other functions to monitor and analyse some KPIs.
  • Transfers knowledge & drives the roll-out of new and existing analytical solutions to the organization by maintaining a core set of training materials
  • Pro-actively looks for innovative analytical methods and solutions beyond the classic dashboards
  • Responsible for providing advanced analytical solutions including machine learning, artificial intelligence and predictive analysis that aligns with business insight needs, are forward looking, and use tools and methods to track, report and analyse results
  • Ensure safety reporting requirements (timely AE/PQC reporting) as set out in company policies and SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) are met and appropriately managed when planning projects, developing materials, executing projects and contracting vendors.
  • Ensure HCC and legal requirements (Fair Market Value, Transfer of Value rules, Promotional Materials rules) are fully understood, appropriately managed and complied with when planning projects, developing materials, executing projects and contracting vendors.
  • Ensure inspection readiness with respect to personal training compliance, and availability of recent CV and individualized Job Description.
  • Report all suspected adverse reactions, serious or non serious, I may be aware of within a maximum of 24 hours after being aware of it and communicate it to the Pharmacovigilance Department.

Requisitos de la oferta


  • Bachelors or master degree in a related field with strong academic performance with analytic and quantitative coursework is required (business, economics/econometrics, engineering, operations research, applied mathematics, statistics).
  • Knowledge of advanced statistical techniques and concepts (model selection and hypothesis testing, statistical inference, promotional response modeling etc.) and experience with real-world applications is required.
  • Knowledge of machine learning techniques (e.g. supervised, unsupervised, deep learning) and their real-world advantages and drawbacks is strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of predictive analysis techniques.
  • Expertise in domain specific data sets of pharma and specialty pharmacy data sources (including RWE, Patient level data, & sales data sources) is highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with large or complex datasets and understanding of data analysis workflows is required.
  • Solid understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, core business questions and related data sets.
  • Strong analytical experience, business acumen and technical skills.
  • Close attention to detail, with a quality-focused mindset.
  • Networker - reaching out and collaborating with other departments.
  • Customer centric behaviour is a must with internal customers and external ones as well.
  • High motivation, good work ethic, maturity and personal initiative;
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Empathy, adaptability and emotional intelligence.
